It's getting cold out there! Are you looking for some extra humidity? Well, breathe easy with our iconic recipe: The Petal & Peel Pot Simmer!

When it gets frigid, we love to keep a pot simmer going. You can make it at home by combining the following kitchen ingredients with our Blue Canyon Farm Culinary Lavender Buds …

Ingredients

• ½ Cup of Blue Canyon Farm Culinary Lavender Buds (You can order a 2 oz bag online!)
• 2 Tablespoons of Chamomile Tea
• 3 Tablespoons of Blue Canyon Farm Culinary Lavender
• 2-3 slices of a Grapefruit
• 3 Whole Cardamom Pods
• 2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
• ½ Teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
• 10-15 Drops of Blue Canyon Farm Lavender Oil

Directions

• Combine the ingredients in a pot that's filled about halfway with water.
• On the stovetop, bring everything to a light boil and reduce it to a simmer. Remember; the lower the heat, the longer your simmer will last.
• Add a little more water as needed to keep the simmer going for hours.

*CAUTION: If the simmer is left unattended for too long, the pot could burn alongside its contents once the water evaporates. Keep an eye on your simmer pot and be sure to check on it regularly. We recommend setting a timer for a foolproof reminder!
